Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your African safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a personalized safari briefing, set off in a 4x4 Land Cruiser through the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.

Stop at a scenic viewpoint to admire the expansive valley and capture your first moments of the journey-ideal for those seeking Kenya photography safaris. As you continue across highlands and traditional Maasai territories, your anticipation builds toward the world-famous Maasai Mara.

Arrive at Mara Serena Safari Lodge just in time for lunch. Nestled atop a hill with sweeping views of the savannah, this lodge is a sanctuary of elegance in the wild. After settling into your stylish room, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve.

After breakfast, set out for a full day of exploration with a packed gourmet lunch. Today’s game drive takes you deep into the heart of the Maasai Mara, following wildlife-rich routes that lead toward the Mara River.

If you're visiting during the best time to visit Kenya (typically July to October), you may witness the jaw-dropping Great Wildebeest Migration. Watch thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-filled waters in a dramatic crossing—a true highlight of any African safari.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you may opt for a lunch stop or day room at a Nairobi hotel (additional cost) depending on your flight schedule. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
