Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Begin your Kenya wildlife safari with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a brief safari briefing, set off in a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser, traveling through the picturesque Great Rift Valley-a dramatic start to your journey across Africa.

Pause at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the valley’s vast floor, ideal for your first Kenya photography safari shots. Continue past farmland, escarpments, and traditional Maasai settlements until you arrive at Sentrim Mara Lodge in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in the Maasai Mara. This reserve is a cornerstone of Kenya safari packages, famous for its high density of wildlife and dramatic predator-prey scenes. Watch out for lions in the grass, elephants crossing the plains, and giraffes moving gracefully through the acacia trees.

Return to camp as the sun sets, relax with a hearty dinner, and enjoy the sounds of the African night around a warm fire.

Day 2: Maasai Mara – Full Day Game Drive, Mara River and Cultural immersion

After an early breakfast, set off with your packed picnic lunch for a full day of adventure in the Maasai Mara. If you're visiting during the peak migration season (typically July to October)-widely considered the best time to visit Kenya-you may have the rare chance to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration in action.

Follow the massive herds as they move toward the Mara River, where the drama unfolds-wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles bravely cross the crocodile-infested waters while predators wait nearby. It’s one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife events and a dream come true for big cat safaris and photography enthusiasts.

Even outside migration season, the Maasai Mara remains exceptional. Enjoy year-round game viewing, with frequent sightings of Buffalo herds, Cheetahs, Hyenas, and an astonishing 470+ bird species, making it one of the top spots for birdwatching in Kenya.

In the afternoon, take a break from the wildlife and visit a traditional Maasai village. Llearn about the community’s culture, rituals, beadwork, and architecture, offering a meaningful human connection that complements your safari and supports local livelihoods.

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Final Safari Moments and Return

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Sentrim Mara and take in your final views of the savannah. After check-out, begin your drive back to Nairobi, once again passing through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.

Depending on your flight time, you can opt for an optional lunch and day room at a Nairobi hotel to freshen up before your departure (available at extra cost).

You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, ending your 3-day Kenya safari with memories of Big Five sightings, cultural discovery, and the thrill of the Maasai Mara.
