DAY 1: Nairobi to Tsavo East – Journey into the Wilderness and First Game Drive

Your exciting Kenya wildlife safari begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a short safari briefing, board your private 4x4 Land Cruiser and travel southeast on the scenic Nairobi-Mombasa highway, heading to Tsavo East National Park-one of the largest and oldest wildlife parks in Kenya.

Along the way, you'll pass sisal plantations, acacia woodlands, and traditional villages. Arrive at Voi Wildlife Lodge, ideally located near Voi Gate, in time for lunch and check-in. The lodge overlooks a waterhole that frequently attracts elephants, zebras, and antelopes-offering your first taste of Kenya’s wild beauty.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Tsavo East. The park is known for its iconic red elephants, dramatic landscapes, and predators like lions and leopards. Watch for giraffes, lesser kudu, Grant’s gazelles, and flocks of birds along the Galana River.

Return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature.

DAY 2: Full Day Game Drives in Tsavo East – Big Five Safari Highlights

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting off for a full-day Big Five safari experience in Tsavo East. The park’s open terrain and sparse vegetation make it ideal for wildlife photography and unforgettable game viewing.

Spend the day exploring key wildlife hotspots such as Aruba Dam, where herds of elephants, buffaloes, and zebras gather to drink. Continue along the Galana River, a lifeline for crocodiles, hippos, and waterbirds. With luck, you could catch a glimpse of a cheetah sprinting across the plains or a leopard disappearing into the bush-Perfect moments for those on a photography safari.

You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic designated spots, surrounded by nature. This allows you to spend more time in the bush, maximizing your chances of amazing wildlife encounters.

In the afternoon, continue your search for the Big Five and enjoy the changing light as the sun begins to set -a magical time for photos of Kenya’s iconic red-soil elephants against golden skies.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and another peaceful night in the heart of the wild.

DAY 3: Tsavo East to Nairobi – Last Game Views and Return to Nairobi

Meals: Breakfast | Optional: Day room and lunch in Nairobi (extra cost)

Enjoy your final breakfast as the sun rises over Tsavo’s expansive horizon. After check-out, Enjoy a short morning game drive as you exit the park, soaking in your final moments with the wildlife.

Then begin your return journey to Nairobi, passing through rural Kenya and enjoying roadside views of Mtito Andei and the surrounding hills.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport. Depending on your flight or onward travel plans, you may opt for lunch and a day room in Nairobi (at extra cost) before your airport transfer.

Your 3-day Kenya safari ends with lasting memories of elephants, lions, sweeping savannahs, and the thrill of wild Africa.
