Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Your Kenya safari adventure begins with a morning pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Travel in a 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser heading south toward Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Enjoy scenic views along the way, with occasional stops to stretch and take in the beautiful landscapes.

Upon arrival, check in at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. After a short rest, embark on your first game drive in Amboseli. This park is renowned for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Spot giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, and a variety of birdlife as you traverse the park's diverse terrain of savannahs, swamps, and dry lake beds.

As the sun sets behind Kilimanjaro, return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay. The calm wilderness and natural beauty offer the perfect introduction to your Kenya safari experience.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Amboseli National Park

Wake up to stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge. Today is dedicated to exploring more of Amboseli National Park. Set out for a full day game drive, taking in the park's unique landscapes and impressive wildlife populations. Amboseli is especially known for its photographic opportunities, with elephants often framed perfectly against the mountain.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park, followed by more wildlife sightings. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views across the plains, marshes, and distant mountain peaks. In the afternoon, you may also visit a nearby Maasai village to experience local culture, traditions, and crafts, adding a cultural element to your Kenya safari.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a peaceful night in the wild.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha via the Great Rift Valley
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Stay: Enashipai Resort and Spa or Similar
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey north through the Great Rift Valley. Stop at scenic viewpoints to enjoy breathtaking vistas before continuing to the serene shores of Lake Naivasha. This freshwater lake is known for its peaceful waters, lush vegetation, and abundant birdlife.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and some time to relax. Later, embark on a peaceful boat ride across Lake Naivasha, passing submerged trees and spotting hippos, African fish eagles, and other bird species. The boat will take you to Crescent Island, a private sanctuary where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes in a predator-free environment.

Return to the lodge in time for dinner and a relaxed evening.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to nearby Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is known for its flamingo-lined shores and endangered rhino population. Arrive in time for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge and then head out for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru is home to black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and hundreds of bird species. Explore the park’s acacia woodlands, cliffs, and grasslands, all teeming with wildlife.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, continue your Kenya safari journey toward the legendary Maasai Mara. The drive takes you past rolling hills, traditional Maasai villages, and vast open plains.

Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the reserve, home to the Big Five and countless other species. Between July and October, witness the Great Migration, a natural spectacle of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and a restful night under the African sky.

Day 6: Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring Maasai Mara. After breakfast, set out with a picnic lunch for a full day of game viewing. Witness thrilling predator-prey interactions, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas tracking herds across the plains.

During the Great Migration, witness the awe-inspiring wildebeest river crossings, where drama unfolds at every turn as crocodiles lie in wait and predators track the movement of prey. The air is thick with tension as wildebeest hesitate at the river’s edge before plunging into crocodile-infested waters. Lions lurk nearby, hyenas circle, and scavengers wait to feast-this is the raw essence of a Big Five safari.

Even outside migration season, the Mara is home to abundant wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and over 450 bird species. Your expert safari guide will navigate to the best wildlife viewing spots and later visit a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll gain insight into the culture, traditions, and the life style of the Maasai people.

Return to camp for dinner and one last night surrounded by the untamed beauty of the African bush.

Day 7: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Enjoy a final breakfast before departing the Maasai Mara. Drive back to Nairobi with a scenic stop at a Rift Valley viewpoint.

Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
